Buy a monetized channel with evidence behind the income
The listings preview on this page uses the monetized status recorded on active marketplace listings. Open the full monetized directory to compare asking prices, subscribers and reported monthly income. Before deciding, ask the seller for current YouTube Studio evidence for the exact channel.
To compare channels across all monetization statuses, return to the full marketplace.
Monetization status, recent revenue and profit are three different checks. A channel can have monetization enabled but little recent income. Another can report substantial revenue while spending most of it on production. The right purchase depends on the operation you would inherit, not just the label on a listing.
Check which monetization features are enabled
Ask to review the Earn area in YouTube Studio and the revenue records associated with the channel. Establish whether income comes from long-form advertising, Shorts, memberships or other sources. External sponsorships and affiliate commissions may depend on arrangements that are separate from channel ownership.
Meeting an eligibility threshold is not the same as being accepted into the YouTube Partner Program. YouTube reviews applications and has requirements beyond subscriber and view counts. Its Partner Program overview explains eligibility, review and earning features. Check the applicable current requirements rather than relying on a seller's description of a channel as ready for monetization.
Review recent earnings without hiding volatility
Request comparable periods covering several recent months. Keep the same currency, channel identity and date definitions across the evidence. A partial month should not be compared with a full month without making that difference explicit.
- Identify which videos and formats produce most of the revenue.
- Separate recurring income from an exceptional sponsorship or unusual viral period.
- Compare revenue changes with views, publishing activity and audience geography.
- Ask whether any claims, policy notices or reporting adjustments affect the figures.
- Confirm whether the archive can continue using its existing music, footage and other licensed material.
You do not need every channel to have perfectly stable results. You do need an explanation of fluctuations that you can compare with the records. If the seller's monthly figure represents the best month rather than an average, use that distinction in your budget.
Work out the cost of keeping the income
List recurring editing, scripting, voice, thumbnail, software and licensing expenses. Include work currently performed by the seller that you would need to do or pay someone else to do. Ask whether any contractors intend to continue and whether their rates are confirmed.
Consider a purely illustrative channel with $100 in monthly receipts and $65 in recurring production costs: it leaves $35 before other expenses and owner time. Comparing its asking price against $100 as though all receipts were profit would overstate what the buyer keeps. This is an arithmetic example, not a valuation benchmark or a listing offer.
The valuation guide explains how to organize pricing assumptions. Use the actual verified records for the channel you are considering; no calculator can establish future earnings from subscriber count alone.
Clarify payout and ownership arrangements
Channel permissions and payment arrangements need separate attention. Ask what access is required for the handover, which earning features are enabled, and what payout setup the new owner must establish. Do not assume that buying the channel includes the seller's personal payment account.
YouTube's Brand Account ownership instructions describe ownership and access roles. Confirm the applicable route before agreeing to a transfer schedule. Record the channel's monetization evidence before payment and compare it again at the relevant deal checkpoints.
Continue through the accepted deal
Use the listing conversation to settle evidence questions, then submit the request or offer for that channel. Review the accepted amount and fees in the deal before paying. The Social Bidz buying guide explains the sequence from listing review to completion, while how it works covers the escrow stages.
Plan how you will maintain the content after receiving ownership. A monetized channel still needs a publishing approach that its audience wants. Avoid assuming that a new topic, different format or reduced production schedule will preserve the seller's previous earnings.
Frequently asked questions
Does monetization transfer automatically?
Channel ownership and payout arrangements are separate checks. Confirm the current setup and the steps required for the new owner.
Which revenue period should I use?
Review several recent periods and explain unusual peaks instead of relying on one month.
Are all listings on this page monetized?
The marketplace preview is filtered using the monetization information recorded on each active listing. Verify the current evidence before purchase.
